Judith O. Holcomb

Judith O. Holcomb is an immigration paralegal with extensive experience.

Ms. Holcomb studied criminology at Michigan State University and George Washington University. She has over fifteen years experience in the legislative and executive branches of the United States Government. She has been with John Smith since 2001.

From 1982 to 1989, Ms. Holcomb was appointed by President Ronald Reagan to executive staff position in U.S. Department of Agriculture. She participated on the Hispanic Employment Council including an internal evaluation of work force, and on successful efforts to increase numeric representation of Hispanic employees within the Department.

Prior to 1982, Ms. Holcomb worked in the United States Senate for Senator Gordon Allott (Colorado). In the United States House of Representatives, she served on the personal staff of several Members of Congress, including House Minority Leader, Congressman Robert H. Michel (Illinois); Congressman Edward J. Derwinski (Illinois); and Congressman Bill McCollum (Florida).

During this time, Ms. Holcomb worked with a special emphasis on immigration issues. She was responsible for handling all constituent immigration matters and representing the congressman's interest in properly resolving each case with the relevant federal departments and agencies involved. Also, she acted as consultant for attorneys requesting assistance on immigration matters and advised other congressional offices on difficult or unique immigration issues.
